Sunday's DIY fancy Tank Top

Hi! :D Sooooo-I have decided that I will introduce something new today-again! So from now on-Sunday is DIY day! From now on every Sunday I will post a DIY! I'm sorry today's DIY has nothing to do with our motto for this week-Think Pink, but I guess it's the last day of that anyway.

So all you need for this tutorial is an old T-shirt and some scissors.
Now there are a lots of different designs you can do with these materials, basically an infinitive amount but today there are three which I'll show you.
The first thing you do of course is cut off the sleeves. Make sure to cut off the serged seam allowance too because you don't want to have that as an edge of your sleeve.
For the first design you cut lots straights slits into the front. Usually the ends of your T-shirt will curl because you the fabric is very thin and this makes a great effect.
To make the second design you enlarge the wholes for the arms until the holes are you are nearly and the bottom end of the shirt. If you want to you can also go right down to the bottom and tie the ends together at the bottom. I haveto say this is a design for summer and you should make sure you wear a bandeau under it!
The third on you basically do the same thing as for the middle one but you make the neckhole bigger at the back and then secure the fabric as shown in the picture with a badge or a ribbon.
Just as a little tip, if you leave your tank top pretty simple and just cut off the sleeves it can happen that you have quite a lot of fabric around the shoulders. Please do not make the mistake of cutting the fabric in a thinner strip because then you will not have the awesome folds which go down from the shoulders. Add a safety pin-that way the folds are secured.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I would love to see your fancy shirts! :D
xoxo Alex
