Some of you were a little put of because of the lack of fashion on this blog recently so I decided that today we are going to make up for that! :D
I got the inspiration for this jacket in school because one of my teachers was wearing one similar to this and I just loved the way it completly transformed her silhouette.. and I REALLY need a long sleeved jeans jacket :D :P
PS: I have no clue why I wrote "Punk Rock" on the back but I felt like it needed something :D
Hey! Today I'm treading on new artistic lands-architecture! :D I have never done anything like this before but when I watched this video of a guy painting New York I was inspired to do a painting of a city too...now it didn't exactly work out like that because I couldn't think of a city I could paint, so that's why I settled for the landmark of a city very dear to me-the Bratislava Castle...
Yes i know-I'm kind of testing out lots of new things lately but that's what you're supposed to do when you're young though isn't it?! So bear with with me and hopefully enjoy :D
Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing good-I am even though I'm quite busy at the moment! :D (Aren't we always? :P) I was experimenting a lot with watercolors lately and uhm....some of the pics turned out aweful but I think this one is quite..interesting and (at least for me) kind of amusing so I decided to share it with you... I christened (can you say it like that in Englisch?-it kind of sounds funny...) this lady the "helmet lady" because I think the.......structure on her head is a little helmet like (I definetely haven't mastered watercolor hair yet :P-but then again it was supposed to be kind of abstract....)
if you want more of these experiments I still have some in store so just tell me! :D
Hi everyone! I hope you're doing good :D In between all kinds of physics formulas and definitions I came up with this simple design for a cocktail dess.I'm afraid the figurine ist headless because I tried and tried but it never looked like I wanted it to look so I simply left it out...;)
I cannot really track-down the source of inspiration for this collage because I think it must have been a lot of different things...For one there was this girl in this movie I watched (I know I'm being super exact here but it was a while ago...) who did awesome collages with newspaper and paint who inspired me to do a little of that...and then I think some of the realism challenges by Mark Crilley on youtube played a part as well... Anyway-see the result for yourself..I hope you like it!
I don't think it turned out quite the way I wanted it to be but then again usually I don't know what I want it to be like so I guess I can't complain :D Have a great evening!
Hey guys! It is Monday and therefore time for the next inspirational collage! I decided to use the moodboard I created at the workshop where I designed around the theme Romeo and Julia. You can already see quite well here that the main colors are red and beige, and my kind of stylistic inspiration was a mix of the classic design with simple and timeless cuts but also a little bit this cool kind of sense that I think Ryan Gosling in the middle incoperates perfectly...
More Romeos on here are Lenny Kravitz, Orlando Bloom from the add for Boss Orange and the guy from the artist. The eyes from the top right corner belong to Penelope Cruz and there are lots of different pictures of Michelle Williams as Marylin Monroe from "My Week with Marylin"-amazing movie by the way. :D There are two quotes on here, one is "The weapon of a woman? Tears!" and the other is by Pierce Brosnan who said, "I owe one of the best compliments to Meryl (Streep): Suddenly she tore off my shirt in front of the running camera. She had done this "for all women", she said. She is amazing and it was great kissing her. My wife calls this legal cheating" (Note: the kissing part while shooting the movie Mamma Mia :D)
Have an amazing Monday evening!
Hey everyone! I do seem to be a little hat addicted lately-this is my third one I post here in a row! I created this picture at another fashion and costume design workshop which I'm doing this weekend (and I'm so glad I got to go because I was sick all week and I didn't know whether I would make it!) and my theme this time is Romeo and Juliet.. When I was searching for pictures for my mood board I stumbled upon a lady in this pose with this kind of awesome hat but sadly she didn't fit into my colorscheme at all so I simply "redid" her in red and beige :D
For materials I used a lot! :D Amongst others pastels, guache colors, tusche pens and watersoluble colored pencils..
Hey! I promised yesterday I would post another hat on here which is a little more boyish than aristocratic one we had yesterday and well-who would have guessed-why going to sleep I had the perfect idea...I must say it didn't turn out as well as I hoped but I still thought I'd share it with you!
Don't you also love the effect my new (Well relatively new...) charcoal pencil has in the shirt?
Hello everyone! It ocurred to me quite a while ago that I haven't posted that many hats on here, even though I'm virtually addicted (I actually figured out a way to attach them to my school bag so I don't loose them when I can't wear them in school-yes I'm that addicted!) and I always thought that if I did post one it would be a more boyish, sailor kind of hat (<3 <3 <3!!!) but I never actually did. Then I found this pic in the November issue of Vogue and got totally inspired. It is not a boyish looking hat, more like something a member of the British aristocracy could pull off but I promise I'll post a sailor's hat sometime!
Don't you think she kind of has the air of a queen?
I know I'm being a little inconsistent this week but I decided that before I post a bad outfit which fits the theme, I post a good one that might not fit to the theme so today we have two rocker babes which are only drawn with tusche (And a teensy bit of red feltip pen)!
The first one you can already see here. Her outfit is rather simple, a wide top, bulky trousers and two boots.
Here it is-the next fall outfit! I must admit this is not the most...."fall"-ish outfit but I saw this necklace today on the bus and I just thought it was an absolutely amazing idea!!
You know these mercedes stars on the cars which kind of stick out? This girl had one on a simple chain around her neck with a few other pendants and it was simply the highlight of the ride :D
Anyway-have a nice evening!
PS:I knoooow! yesterday was my first day without a post...but there was no way because it was just so FULL.... forgive me!
It is warm, it is big, it is cozy and it is very very stylisch-the tube scarf. A real magic piece which is perfect for any windy day, colder evening or just a fashionable stroll through the streets. As you can proooobably imagine due to my ethusiastic use of adjectives-it is-along with the plaid scarf-one of my absolute favorite pieces which is definetely a must in fall and winter. This is example you can see right here is very big and wollen, in a kind of (seriously I couldn't think of a better example...) seaweed color.
Hello! :D So as you probably all know the real fun of the colder seasons is the layering. You can wear lots of awesome clothes at once! :D However there are a few tips and tricks you might want to watch out for, if you're trying this kind of outfit.
Hey everyone! It is Monday again so what do we have? Yes and ispirational collage and this week I thought, why not use the weather as an inspiration. These last few days have been really grey and ugly so all you could do was cuddle up at home with a good book so that's why we'll look into fall outfits! And with that I don't mean only coats (we already did a week on those) but also comfy outfits for at home or school. I hope you enjoyed your Monday! xoxo Alex
Hey! I hope you're all having a great sunday! You know, when I was thinking about what DIY to do this sunday, I couldn't decide. Yes I know Punk is all about DIY but then most of these"punk style" DIYs involve metal studs which a) I don't have and b) think are cool but by now kind of mainstream...XD That's why I settled for this DIY which granted, isn't very the classic kind of punk but I bet if you choose different beads at the bottom could be the finishing touch on your punk outfit! :D I have to say I was inspired to this ear cuff by a post the (awesome!) boat people did the other day (here) and the basic idea is from there however you'll notice that in the end I changed a few things...
Hello! I'm running a little late today-a little misplanning I'm afraid so this will have to be rather short. I'm so sorry I promised something special today but it is going to be just another punk-style outfit...I just didn't have time today so I'll postpone the special post for tomorow. As a you can see this outfit is a little more feminine with lots of pink and green accents (<3) I think I'm kind of getting the hang of this kind of styling-the main idea is simple-rather plain cothes spiced up with lots of accessoires. Let me show you on this example...
Hi there! I hope you're all having a nice evening and enjoying "the voice" :D We have the last punk outfit post today (I want to try something different tomorow so we'll see about that!) and of course another mohawk-I'm sorry-I know not all punks have that but I think it is one of the most awesome haircuts ever and I just had to use the chance- so yes, this time it is not actually spikey but I love it anyway! :D
The top here is a black biker jacket with a zip on one side. This ones
paired with an elastic mini-skirt. Under it there's a ripped tights (or
tights with a very swirly design :D) and a pair of laced neon trainers.
Hello! I hope y'all had an awesome Halloween last night with lots of awesome costumes (awesome source for inspiration by the way!) I thought about doing a Halloween Special with costumes and everything but I had a very busy day so it was impossible...I promise I'll post some costumes for Carnival though! :D
By the way I chose the shoes today as a promo because I was so proud that FINALLY you can kind of see the fruits of my efforts last week to learn to draw shoes XD
