I found the most wonderful book today. It's the first part of a full edition of all Schiller's Works. There are some amazing illustrations that I've found in it and probably a lot more that I haven't discovered yet. The lettering is amazing as well. The capitals at the beginning of each work or chapter I copied, because it was so fascinating..:)
Apologies for the pencil remnants by the way, that's me being godawfully lazy ;) xoxo Alex
I'm quite enjoying these exercises. Starting off with a copy is a great thing to get into the flow, and then working out a new, original pose is tedious but essential to make progress I think :) It's fun! :)
Oh and original drawing & pose still by Wilhelm M. Busch :) Good night, y'all! :) xoxo Alex
So apparently this has become somewhat of a thing for. I 'copy' and illustration by Wilhelm M. Busch and then create a new one, with the same character but a different pose :) It's definetely a challenge!
My grandma gave me a real treasure the other day. It is a really old copy of 'Heidi' (a German-or Austrian? children's story) with incredible illustrations by Wilhelm M. Busch. I'm sure I'll keep studying his work, here is a first sketch of this doctor he did :)
As a matter of fact I can tell you exactly why maintaining daily posts on this blog has been so difficult. The lack of routine in my life right now makes it difficult for me to keep up with drawing. I managed to finish school and never miss a day before exams and whatever-no problem. There I had a plan. I had a routine. At the moment I'm improvising, doing what need to be done, when it needs to be done. All I can say is-I'm so sorry. When this whole chapter of my life has been resolved and I'm well settled into a new routine this will change again but until then, please bear with you. Meanwhile here's an all time favorite of yours ;)
I love this picture :D She is so attentive and awesome! <3 xoxo Alex
Sketches for an upcoming piece I'm pretty excited about :D These sketches are not very spectacular I admit, but they take ages so often I have no choice but to post them on here :) Bear with me, it's making progress!
I'm not entirely happy with the expression yet, but I can't wait to carry on, and see how thi'll turn out! ;)
